Need a Design Consultant?
Whether you’re in the mode to refresh your space or you’ve simply fallen out of love with your home, we can lend a talented hand to guide your interior selections. Often our clients have assembled a mix of furniture over time that are not cohesive or comfortable, and contribute to a sense of unease in the home.
Our team of experienced and educated Interior Decorating Specialists will help you solve design dilemmas, plan layouts and choose custom furnishings for rooms in which you can breathe, live comfortably and well. We can work from floor plans for new builds, or come in at the drywall stage or later during renovations.
In-Home Design Consultation
Our design professionals meet with you in-home to gather information about you, the space in which we’re working: architectural features, natural light, window and door placement, flooring, paint colours, what stays, what goes, etc. We try to do this during daylight hours to get a true read on the colours in your home. We’ll ask questions to discover your style and how you want to live in your home. We’ll determine your needs, take room measurements and frame the design challenge.
The second meeting is a presentation in-store to propose the space plan and discuss a selection of furnishings and upholstery options, along with finishes, lighting and accessories. We’ll prepare an estimate and get a custom quote if required. We gather feedback, adjust the selections if necessary and take a deposit to place the order. It’s that simple.
Furniture Layout and Design
The overall scale of furniture relative to the room size and other pieces is an important design element. And the traffic flow in and around the space impacts not only the visual appeal, but how easy it is to use the rooms for the activities you’ve planned. We will prepare floor plans to show you various layouts with furniture options scaled to provide balance and harmony, and ease the flow in your home.
Custom Furniture Design
The lighting in your individual home, natural and artificial, changes the hue of a colour whether paint or furnishings. We are steeped in a design philosophy incorporating classic, clean design and can help decide whether a neutral and cool palette suits your design aesthetic, or warm and vibrant tones pique your interest. We’ll help you choose the right colour combination to enhance your living space.
