Our design professionals will meet with you at your home to get to know you and your everyday lifestyle. We will take into account the various architectural and design features of the space in which we are working, including the framework, natural light levels, locations of doors and windows, flooring and paint. We also work with any changing elements such as finishes and furnishings that are remaining or going. We aim to complete this process during daylight hours to acquire an accurate read on the colours in your home. To ensure a collaborative and personable dynamic between our associates and clientele, we will ask thoughtful questions to discover your personal sense of style and how you wish to live in your home; this conversation allows us to determine your needs, take necessary measurements and efficiently frame the design objective while accounting for potential challenges to be resolved in the process.
The following consultation is a presentation hosted in-store at Country Living Furnishings & Design to propose a resolved space plan and discuss a selection of furnishings, finishes and fixtures; extending but not limited to upholstery, lighting, and accessories. We will prepare an estimate and acquire a custom quote if necessary. Upon review with the client, we receive and assess feedback, adjust the selections and take a deposit to place the order once all selections are finalized.
It’s a simple process designed to yield a comprehensive and quality experience for our valued clients.
Conditions about the space we like to consider are the scale of furniture relative to the size of the room, as well as the surrounding pieces; these are influential aspects of interior design, yet they are often overlooked as a design element. The flow of foot traffic within the space is additionally impactful on its aesthetic and ability to function as planned. We will prepare space plans reflective of furniture placement to show you the various layouts available to your space that will ensure harmony between beauty and function, allowing for a natural sense of flow both visually and physically.
